Michael Nesmith was a member of the TV pop group "The Monkees". Known as Mike on the show, he was the leader of the group. Calmer than the others, but just as quirky. Mike was born in Houston, Texas and raised by his mom in Dallas. After being a “Monkey” Mike went on to help create the show that led to the creation of MTV. But despite all of his success later in life, Mike will forever be a “Monkey”. He will also forever be A True Texan.
